TPG is seeking a Sales Manager

What you will be doing

  • Solicits account leads from group meetings/event planners and decision makers
  • Develops sales plan and strategy in order to meet or exceed room night and revenue goals
  • Represents the hotel with prospective clients to provide necessary information on hotel facilities and services to determine level of interest
  • Manages and negotiates account details and contracts so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented
  • Effectively communicates and plans for operations participation in servicing accounts
  • Formulates program and submits formal sales proposals to prospective clients
  • Leads on-site inspections with customers, entertains customers, and performs outside sales calls to develop leads
  • Attends trade shows/events and follows up with clients which may involve travel within the United States, dependent on assigned markets
  • Leads the hotel in development, implementation, and achievement of their annual business and market objectives
  • Coordination of cross-selling, joint marketing initiatives and other hotel/brand synergies to maximize exposure and profitability including agency contact, media planning and hotel communications
  • Preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales and Marketing department to include, but not limited to annual and monthly forecast, marketing budget, booking report, Delphi reports, Sales and Marketing minutes
  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to maintain current base and increase the hotel's share in the transient market.
  • Adhere to the Sales processes by entering activity in the Delphi reservation system
  • Adhere to the TPG reporting requirements
  • Meet and/or exceed your sales and activity goals

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of Sales Manager experience
  • 4-year degree in Business and/or Marketing preferred
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Exceptional detail in follow-up
  • Follow/enforce company policies and procedures with TPG 
  • Good Problem Resolution skills
  • Administrative skills as required by the position
