Job Description

The Assistant Front Office Manager in conjunction with the Front Office Manager, will be a Driving Force for Hyatt Brand Standards of Service Essentials in all Guest Contact areas. It is imperative this individual upholds these Standards and ensures the Staff follows the example. Ensure efficient guest registration, check out and telephone service. Observe front desk agents, Night Auditors and Guest Services staff to ensure that established procedures are completed in accordance with policy procedure, i.e. proper public relations techniques are utilized, guests are handled both courteously and professionally, proper identification and credit are established and all posting, cash transactions, account settlements, and deposits are handled correctly.

Position shares responsibility for the following departments: Front Office - Night Audit - Bell/Valet Staff

This position reports directly to the Front Office Manager.  

Job Requirements

Ability to work primarily the 2nd and third shifts. Able to work weekends. Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred. Previous Supervisor/Management experience.

Solid experience in Front Office including: Front Desk - Night Audit - Reservation - Bell/Valet Staff - Guest Services

Full Time Position

Experience at properties of similar size and quality beneficial.

Technical Requirements:
*Ability to motivate Front Office Employees to continuously upsell
*Track record training, cross training, and developing employees
*Understand scheduling to optimize financial performance while meeting employee scheduling
*Assure guest expectations are exceeded through proper employee training
*Work closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Catering and Sales to assure groups and special functions are handled smoothly
*Participate in MOD program

Educational Requirements: High School Education plus Hospitality Management Degree or Equivalent Experience
